Game 17
This was our re-match against the Lambeth Lancers everyone has been waiting for. The last time we met it was a penalty riddled gong show for lack of better words. This time around was quite different, one team showed up to play hockey for 35 minutes and the other played hard for about 7-8 minutes. Anyone at the game would know what I am talking about but if you missed it you'll have to read more to find out who did what...

From the opening face off we were flat and Lambeth was beating us to the puck on most plays. We couldn't muster up any offense and very little shots challenged the opposition in the first half of the game. Lambeth scored their first goal with 3:30 on the clock in the first to open the scoring. Their next goal would come at the 6:29 mark in the 2nd. We were getting outplayed and caught in our own zone for quite a run late in the 2nd.
The start of the 3rd period seemed to be a turning point for us. The kids started playing better and we were taking the play to them in their end. Carson would be first to score for us at the 13:07 mark assisted by Will Stewart. Next to score would be Nick Sheridan assisted by Michael Duffy with 8:39 left to play to tie it up at 2 each. Lambeth managed to answer back at the 7:35 mark to re-gain the lead. The clock ticked down and Coach Ryan pulled Ben for the extra attacker with 2 minutes left but it wasn't meant to be. We couldn't bury it and suffered a 3-2 defeat.
Hats off to Lambeth for a well earned win tonight. Now you know who did what! Chalk this one up to a bad night and lets move on.
See everyone on Saturday!
