Player of the Week

Hello Parents and Players of the Atom Red hockey team.

Our Player of the Week is one of our players who continues to be a fantastic “stay-at-home” defenseman. He knows his position extremely and just like the Montreal Canadians defenseman Shea Weber, our Player of the week has the ability  to unload his cannon of a shot from the blueline and score.

Our Player of the week has always seems to cover a lot of ice because of his tenacious play along the boards, either keeping the puck in the oppositions end or getting it out of our end. He has a relentless pursuit of pucks and seamlessly angles bigger forward away from our net. We have watched him strip the opposition’s best players of the puck and create score chances out of the offensive teams broken plays.  He is effective at keeping the crease clear of anyone who thinks they will have the chance to bang-in a rebound. Occasionally we have seen him stare down the opposition until they leave our goalie alone.

Our Player of the Week has superb vision, his passes are “tape-to-tape,” he can anticipate how the play will unfold and position himself to give the team the best chance for success.

It is my pleasure to give the Player of the Week Cougar Cup, Puck and Certificate to:

#17 Dylan Snake

Great work on “D” Dylan.

You are an intimidating player to play against because you always give 110% and you know your position extremely well.

Coach Dave
