Hello families of the Atom Red hockey team!
This week, our Player of the Week continued to impress the coaching staff with his competitive spirit and drive. He works hard at every practice, every shift of every game and always shows great sportsmanship. He is a true competitor and is a role-model for consistent effort.
Our Player of the Week had asked to play a position he is not accustomed to and played amazing! He contributed defensively and still played a great offensive game as well. It was quite impressive to watch our Player of the Week to be able to have the natural talent to play multiple positions effectively and seamlessly. It takes a special kind of hockey player to be able to do this.
Our Player of the Week is a fierce competitor and does not give-up on the puck ever. Whether he is digging the puck out of the corners, stripping it from the oppositions stick or going “end-to-end” he is all over the puck like a lion on a gazelle! No-one will stop him once he sets his mind to it. Maybe this is why the name “LION” is found in his last name!
The Player of the Week earned this distinction because of his hard work, tenacity, competitive edge, and desire to do everything he can for his team, all while having a good time with his hockey buddies!
Our Player of the Week is truly worthy of this honour, and deserves all the recognition he gets for putting everything he has into every game.
