Play Off Game 1
Our first game of the playoffs was a real battle. Two evenly matched teams played hard and it was as close a game as you can get.....
Caleb MacGowan opened the scoring in the second period with a nice goal in front of the net. Assists went to Zack Deleary and Deacon Kroesbergen. Only 8 seconds later Strathroy answered back right off the centre ice faceoff with break away and a fast goal tying the game at 1 each. Next to score was Casey Bridgewater after a beauty pass from Caden and Tracelyn. Both teams continued battling hard and with 4:09 left in the 3rd period Strathroy scored and tied up the game. We tried hard to get another goal but we had some trouble clearing the puck out of our zone and didn't many shots late in the 3rd. The game ended with a 2-2 tie.
Congratulations to our Heart & Hustle award winner Zachary Jackson for really stepping up his game today. Great job Zach, keep up the great work!
