March Break is Here!
I feel like a kid again. I can't recall the last time I got so excited about March Break, this year the difference for me is the hockey and lots of it coming this week......

First is the Lambeth Tournament on Tuesday with a minimum of 3 games scheduled at Nichols Arena at 8:15am, 10:15am and 12:15pm. The Stanley Cup is in Lambeth Arena which we will be checking out Tuesday afternoon plus hopefully another game late in the afternoon depending on the results of our first 3 games.
Next up is the Parkhill Tournament starting on Friday March 14 with our first game at 5:00pm. We don't know what the rest of schedule will be until we have the result of game 1.
I am really looking forward to staying at Oakwood Inn & Resort in Grand Bend Friday and Saturday night. I know several Novice Red families have taken the Scatcherd's up on their great offer to stay for the weekend during our tournament. I'm sure the kids (and adults) will love the indoor pool and other amenities this beautiful resort has to offer, what a way to wrap up the March Break week!
The end of the March Break Tournament marks the end of our formal games but not our ice time. The Watson and
Deyell families are leaving for Florida on Tuesday March 18th and returning on March 28th. We will not be at any practices starting on Monday March 17. Brian Kroesbergen is running all Novice Red ice time while we are away and we encourage our kids to utilize the ice as much as possible. Cassandra Hill has agreed to schedule a few more practices for us this month. If you have questions concerning ice time after the March Break please contact Brian Kroesbergen, otherwise I will still be available via email or text while I'm in Florida.
The Mount Brydges Association Banquet is being held on Saturday March 29 from 11:00am-2:00pm at the Mount Brydges Community Center located beside the Mount Brydges Arena. The cost of the banquet is $5.00 for 1 parent and 1 player and all payments must go to Linda McDonald, our Parent Rep. We will certainly be back and in attendance at the banquet. Later on that same day the year end dance for the adults is 8:00pm-1:00am. Karen & I definitely plan to attend and I hope we see lots of Novice Red parents there. Go to the Home Page of the MBDAA website for more details.
Good luck this week in our tournaments kids. I am really looking forward to all the fun!
