One Tough Tourney
The Awesome Novice White's were in Mt. Brydges for the annual house league tournament on Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday afternoon the Cougars played a really tough team from Chatham.  They battled all game long and were able to hold on for a 2-1 squeaker.  The story of the game was our awesome goalie, Cameron Jones, who made spectacular save after save and was picked by the other team as the player of the game.  Well deserved Cammer.  Congrats.  Our player of the game, was Trenton Altiman, who again, was stellar on the point and saved a goal right on the goal line with about a minute remaining.  Nice job Trent.

On Friday afternoon, we played the Oakridge Aeros.  Sadly, it was a bit of a mismatch as we were able to come home with a 7-0 win.  Lot's of players factored into the scoring, but it was Gavin McGahey-Smith who stood out with a couple of goals and numerous chances.  He was picked by both our team and the other team as the player of the game.  Congrats Gav.

We finished first in our division, so now we had to play the mighty Novice Red team.  And mighty they were.  They got bounce after bounce and walked away with a 7-1 win.  Our boys battled hard all game but it just seemed it wasn't their day.  It happens and we are very proud of the kids for fighting so hard all game.  Special mention goes to Nathan March who's awesome hustle and two-way play earned him player of the game by both teams.  Nice job Nater.  Congrats.

I am pretty proud of all of the kids for their efforts at the tourney.  They all had special moments and you can see that all of their hard work is showing up well in all of their games now.

Now, we go back to the finals and those pesky Predators.  Let's go get em Cougars.
