Still Rollin'
The streak was on the line last night as we took on the only team we've faced and hadn't beat thus far. This was with good reason as the Strathroy Rockets Blue squad proved to be the all the competition we saw earlier this year, and then some. Czencz kicked off the scoring in the second and helped wake our team up. The rest of the game saw us battling our way to the end. Holding a 1 goal lead we decided to throw a party in the penalty box and all cougars were invited. Callum was an absolute wall in the third and frustrated the Strathroy team all night. He posted a well deserved shut out. A ridiculous glove save held the lead at 1-0 with :20 seconds left. Mitch Rastin was then able to fire the puck down off the draw and close this one out with a 2-0 cougars victory.
Congrats on a hard fought victory and keeping the streak alive. We're off to Strathroy Sunday night as we take on the hungry Blue squad again, this time on their home turf. They'll be hungry for revenge and for the first time since game 1, we should have a full bench! Let's keep the train rollin and post another victory Sunday.
