Cougars Come Roaring Back
We had our work cut out for us Friday evening against the South Huron Sabres. They brought a tricky game plan and played us well all game. We went down 1-0 in the 2nd on a fluke goal that was merely a bad bounce. As always, Cougars Gold bounced back. Mitch "The Combine" Wolfs evened the score with a goal early in the third, Hayden provided the assist on the goal. Edwin gave us the lead halfway through the third grabbing a rebound off Kennes' point shot.
The rest was a defensive effort by the whole team. Callum made two great saves near the end, one on a breakaway and another on a 2on1. He also made it two the bench several times this game on delayed penalties, one resulting in a tying goal. Well done! We've picked up momentum, so let's bring it to Komoka when we face Point Edward next Friday to finish off the regular season.
