Mites, U5, 2015-2016 (Mt Brydges Minor Hockey)

On March 26th, the Mites season comes to a close after a great year.  In order to celebrate the kids achievements and advancement over the year we will have handouts for the kids on that day including Medals, Mini Sticks, and Magnetic Picture Frames courtesy of Tim Hortons.  We will also be having some fun on ice activities.  We will present the handouts after the kids ice time along with Hot Chocolate and Tim Bits. 

Reminder for all the parents getting on the ice that you need to have your Respect in Sports for Coach in order to be able to help out. Please drop off proof that you have completed the online training in the white box as you come in the Mount Brydges arena. Please indicate that you are helping out with the Mites. You will only be allowed to get on the ice once the online training has been completed. You could also give it to me and I will make sure to give it to the Board. You will also need to obtain a valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check. 

PLEASE be advised that it is mandatory for parents that are helping out on the ice with the Mites that they obtain their Respect in Sports for Coach. This could be completed online by accessing the course through the OMHA website. Parents on the ice will also need to get a Police Check. The form for the police check is available on this website and could be taken to your local OPP office.

First of all, let me introduce myself for those of you, I haven't had a chance to talk to two weeks ago. I am Bob Joseph and I have volunteered to look after the Mites program this year. I have been involved in hockey as a player for several years and I have been involved as an assistant coach with my two other older boys. As, I explained to some of you two weeks ago, I am also the assistant coach on the Pee Wee Rep and for this reason I will be missing some Saturday morning practice to attend hockey tournament. I will make sure, however that someone will be there to take over the practices. ...
