Here Comes The Playoffs
After a great regular season came to a close on Saturday we now begin the next part of the season with the playoffs.  With a regular season record of 19-0-1 we will be heading into the playoffs as the number 1 team.  This is due to the hardwork and consistent effort given by the entire team everytime they hit the ice.  As a coach I could not ask for more from a team.  The boys always gave 100% and always tried to have fun.  I am looking forward to the playoffs.

I want to thank the boys for the efforts that they put in at every game and at every practice.  Their hard work has definitely paid off.  We have played a total of 34 games so far this season and have accomplished so much.  The team's record to this point is 30-2-2 with 2 tournament wins, and winning a bronze medal in the third tournament.  We had every player score at least 1 goal this season, with the exception of Griffin, but he had 8 shutouts in the regular season and 3 more in tournament play.  We ended up with the fewest goals against in the regular season, thanks to great goaltending, great defence and great backchecking from our forwards.

There has been some many highlights to this season so far but I think the best thing about the season so far is the tremendous support that the team has had from the parents, siblings and other family and fans that have come out to our games.  We always have a great cheering section.

I think the one thing that stands out in my mind as a true highlight was this past weekend in Lucan when Cary scored his first goal of the season.  I think the entire team was on the ice congratulating him (I was waiting to be called for some sort of penalty for unsportsman like conduct).  But that shows the bonding that this team has done over the course of the season.

I would also like to thank the bench staff for the help and the support throughout the year and without them I don't think we could have achieved the success of this season.

I look forward to the playoffs and to see the boys continue playing hard every game.  Whatever happens in the playoffs the boys should be extremely proud of what they have accomplished.
