Port Stanley B Division Champs
After a long Saturday and an exciting Sunday the Blues turned in a hard fought game and pulled out a win to become the B Division champs.

On Saturday we had our first game against the St. George Generals. After 30 mins of back and forth exciting hockey we pulled out a 2-2 tie. The goalies for both teams made terrific saves and kept the game close.
Our second game was against the home town hosts, Port Stanley. This was the most nail bitting game of the year. The first goal of the game was scored with 1.37 seconds remaining in the third period. Unfortunately it was for the home town.
In between games, there was a skills competition. Participants from the Blue team were Jarryd Davidson, Jordan McKellar, Alex Whitney and Ben Wilson. The four proudly represented our team and did awesome.
We had an early start on Sunday with an 8 am game against Aylmer. Aylmer came out quick and scored a goal and we were able to tally a reply to keep the game tied. Midway through the second period Aylmer added two more goals.
With time slipping away in the third, we added our second goal and pulled the goalie. Unfortunately, Aylmer was able to add on open net goal and a late period insurance marker. The final result was a 5-2 loss.
Our next game was scheduled for 2 pm and also the B Division Championship game. Our opponents were the St. George Generals whom we had faced the day before and tied.
The team was upbeat prior to the game and eager to hit the ice. Once on the ice we came out flying and were able to attain three unanswered goals by the end of the second period.
The streak continued into the third where we added three more goals before they replied with one.
After 30 minutes we pulled out a decisive win and were presented the championship trophy.

At this tournament, the opposing teams selected team MVPs for each game.
Congratulations goes out to Jarryd Davidson (selected twice), Shane O'Neill and Ben Wilson who were selected as MVPs over the four games.
