Glacier Point Thanksgiving Tournament Runner Ups
Hey team, great tournament!!!
Our team participated in the Glacier Point Thanksgiving tournament in Port Huron Michigan on Nov 28-30 weekend.
In our first game we had to play the host team, Port Huron Flags. We won that game 17-1. Game 2 on Saturday morning we played the MI Winterhawks. our team fought hard and came out with a 5-4 victory. Game 3 we came up against a very strong Summit team. We played a tough game, but ended up losing 10-0. On Sunday morning we played a team from Rochester. In a very hard fought game, the team game out with a 1-1 tie.
Our record allowed us to go to the finals. In the finals we had to play the very skilled Summit team once again. The kids played their hearts out and going into the third period were only down 3-1. We ended up losing 8-1. We were very happy with the result! We were the first team to keep them under 10 goals in the tournament and we scored 1 of only 2 goals against them.
Special thanks to the whole team for playing so well all weekend. To the parents Thanks so much for the loud cheering and support we got from you all week end!
