Player of the Week
Hello Novice White parents and players,
Our Player of the Week for this week goes to a very hard working offensive-defenseman who exemplifies what we are looking for in our Player of the Week.
He is always smiling, having fun, working extremely hard at all of his practices, pays attention to the coaches instruction,
and he constantly applies the drills learned in practice to game situations.
He attacks with the puck then hustles back into position. His starts and stops are perfect, he holds the blueline when the team is attacking and he is fast as lightning on his skates! He is not afraid to pass the puck to the open player and he is not afraid to skate the puck into the oppositions end and shoot on the goalie.
He works hard every shift he is on the ice. As a result of this, you will notice his shirt is completely soaked after our games from sweating.
His overall game is excellent. Whether it is a practice or during the games, he is focused. Like a wolf circling its prey, he is patiently waiting for the other team to make a mistake and when they do, he is ready to pounce on the puck and make them pay for it!
