Player of the Week
Hello Novice White Parents and Players,

What a week of hockey we have had! We were missing players for the playoffs and had to shuffle one of our kids to a different position to fill-in for our missing defenseman.

This was a tough decision for the coaches to ask of him because he constantly contributes offensively. In St. Marys he scored a hat trick but, we needed his specific skill set in a different position.

When asked if he would play "D" for his team his answer was simple, "sure!" was all he said.

With him playing defense, it made it easier to continue to rotate all of our players fairly and evenly and helped solidify an already amazing defense. He played this position exceptionally well, contributing on the game sheet as well as on the ice. He was always digging the puck out of our end and passing it forward.

On occasion, he would go end-to-end with the puck, showcasing his Skills Competition Tournament Win with his jaw-dropping skating and stickhandling abilities.

He plays great on every position we have asked him to play this year. He has incredibly soft hands and can put the puck top shelf "where Grandma keeps the cookies" or pick any corner down low. When he has control of the puck, it is almost impossible to take it from him and if by some miracle you do get the puck from him, he will use his blazing speed to catch-up to you and take it right back.
