A NICE TIDY VICTORY!!!
After the rough outings the mighty Blue squad had on the weekend against some big city all star teams, I was hoping our little hooligans would be pumped and ready to come out with guns a blazing in our Monday night battle against North Middlesex.
And boy, did they ever come out a firing......and on all cylinders plus a couple. They hustled at both ends, played their positions extremely well, and were able to come away with a tidy little 3-0 victory. After playing the big city teams on the weekend, this game showed that this group doesn't let little things like losses get them down and their tenacity shone through as shift after shift, they were able to control the puck and get chance after chance. Hats off to the entire team for their incredible bounce back game.
On the score sheet was Matty's first big goose egg of the season. CONGRATS MATTY ON THE SHUTOUT!!! Also, we had Ethan Bond with 2 goals and an assist, Robert Jonkhans with a goal, Katie Amos with an assist, and Connor Noad with an assist.
As for our Cougar of the Game award, it goes to CONNOR NOAD, who's positional play is now perfectly perfected and he has been getting in there and digging on every shift. CONGRATS CONNOR!!!!!!.
Next up we have two practices this week and an exhibition game on Sunday against the Strathroy Rockets. Lots to work on. See you then!!!!
