Hello Hockey Fans!!!
Saturday morning there were extra bragging rights on the line with the Cougars facing off against Coach Jamie's home team of Lucan. Gavin was beginning one of his signature break out moves when he got tripped. The Cougars dug hard during the power play and Spencer popped the puck free along the boards to Ethan who carried it up ice and scored a sweet goal. Lucan was really buzzing for most of the game and kept the Cougars bottled up in their own end. We just couldn't get enough passes to our players who were really keeping to their positions. Not only did we keep Lucan off the score board with Matt standing on his head - Brady and Spencer assisted Ethan on a second goal. Lucan made things interesting by breaking Matt's shutout in the third but Robert fed Gavin who shut the door with the third Cougars goal. Carson earned player of the game denying Lucan on many near break-aways. The whole defensive team really were on fire today. Good job and go Cougars!
