Novice Red, U9, 2012-2013 (Mt Brydges Minor Hockey)

another great effort from the kids this week...

Hi kids and parents,  The kids fought back hard yesterday and almost completed a come from behind win vs a determined Lambeth team.  I have to tell you that we held our own againest this team in the series by allowing them only a minimum goal count which (as one of their parents told me) they are not used to!  

I am sure that all parents will agree with me tonight that we had a team full of MVP's!! A very strong effort from the net, the defence, who held the line and kept the crease clear, and of course our forwards played awesome with a 5 goal effort.  We passed, we checked, and we skated hard which allowed us to outplay our opponent for 30 minutes. It really is amazing what a few practices can accomplish! Way to go kids, you should be proud! Your reporter in the stands! Keep Smilin' Jim       

Our first playoff game provided us with some excitment for sure!  The gang should be proud of themselves today!  They all played very hard against a pretty good Lambeth team.  The play went end to end for most of the game, with our "BIG" defence holding their ground and kept the front of the net clean while our "BREAKOUT" offence had alot of great chances!  Well done all...GEt some rest, tomorrow will be another big game!   Good Luck! Well it was tough game for Novice Red today. We came up against a very determined Novice Blue squad that was on top of us wherever we went for the puck.  The kids pulled together in the second and third and hung in there to the end.   Have a good week everyone! Jim
