Pursue Excellence. Compete with Purpose.

The Mount Brydges Cougars U16A (2010) program is designed for players who are serious about their development and ready to compete at a high level. We emphasize purposeful practice, disciplined habits, and a commitment to continual growth — on and off the ice.

Mount Brydges Cougars U16A – 2025 Program Details

Program Overview

Regular season play is structured, competitive, and designed to challenge players consistently throughout the year.

  • League Play Teams: Ausable Valley (Ilderton/Lucan/Parkhill), Elgin Thames (Aylmer/Dorchester), St. Mary’s, Strathroy
  • Interlock 1: Brant, Delhi-Norwich, New Hamburg, Norfolk, South Oxford
  • Interlock 2: Seeded Alliance teams (A/AA Bristol or A/AA Constellation) based on in-season performance

Interlocks further information can be found here.

Playoffs are contested against league play teams. The league champion earns a berth in the OMHA Championship Tournament — a highly competitive, 8-team provincial event hosted each April in Whitby.

Schedule & Commitment

  • Two 90-minute practices per week
  • One to two games weekly
  • Four in season tournaments:
    • Two local (within driving distance)
    • Two travel-based (requiring hotel stays)
    • Tournament entries will be selected to match the strength and depth of our roster — we anticipate AA-level competition throughout

This structure balances meaningful development time with elite-level competition, built to challenge, support, and help each player reach their highest potential.
