Welcome to the U11B Tryouts!
Hello! With the U11B tryouts fast approaching, I wanted to share some brief details about how the first tryout ice times will be structured.
Evaluations will begin on Saturday, May 10 at the Komoka Wellness Centre. Players will be divided into two groups, which will be posted on this page no later than 7:00pm on Friday, April 9th. Please respond to the email from the Cougars Registrar to help us understand who will be attending the tryouts. If you do not see your name on either of the group lists by Friday evening, please reach out to me directly using the contact information provided at the bottom of this article.
May 10th Evaluations:
Group 1 - 4:15pm-5:05pm (Molson Pad)
Group 2 - 5:15pm-6:05pm (Molson Pad)
Please ensure that your player signs in at least 30 minutes prior to their assigned ice time. At sign in, players will be given a numbered pinnie to help the evaluators identify them on the ice. As noted in the M.B.D.A.A. tryout policy, all registered skaters will be guaranteed a minimum of one skate. Please note that players will be released after the first tryout. A list of players moving forward in the tryout process will be posted no later than 9:30pm on Saturday May 10th.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all players the very best of luck in the tryout process. While tryouts are never easy, it is important to note that the participants are young people doing their absolute best at a sport they enjoy. As such, we will do our very best as coaches and evaluators to make this difficult process as enjoyable and informative as possible for all involved.
