Season Preview
With tryouts quickly approaching and all of the changes coming down from the OHF and OMHA I wanted to touch on what the season will look like for this coming season.  There are still some moving parts on this, but as of right now this is what the season should look like for U12A this season.

Our league games will consist of games with our fellow Shamrock teams (Strathroy, Elgin Thames, St. Mary's and welcoming Ausable Valley to the Shamrock League)  as well as an interlock with the Southern Counties teams (New Hamburg, Brant, South Oxford, Norfolk and Delhi-Norwich).  At the beginning of December we will add interlock games with the seeded A/AA Alliance league which will take us to playoffs.  New for playoffs this season we will be returning to our Shamrock league where we will compete for a chance to play at the year end OMHA tournament.  In years past we would have to compete with the Southern Counties teams for one spot in the OMHA Championship weekend.  With this change each league will be sending a representative which is great for both leagues.

On top of the competitive league games we will be playing this season, I plan on entering the team into AA tournaments throughout the season as well as scheduling exhibition games against AA teams as well.  I feel that with the successful teams we have had in the past along with the implementation of the open borders, the AA caliber teams will be right in line with where we should be competing.

Please keep checking the website as well as the email address you provided for updates during the tryout process.

Looking forward to getting started this weekend!
