My name is Mario Schembri and I have the privilege of coaching the U12A team in Mount Brydges this season. I have coached in the organization since 2014. Here are a few items of interest for the upcoming tryout.
Expectations for tryouts are as follows:
- Make sure you have all of your equipment.
- Try to get to the rink early as you will need to check in with the desk to get signed in and your pinny.
- If your child needs help with equipment and or skates please make sure you are there to do it.
- Bring a labeled water bottle
- The evaluators and I will be watching all aspects of the players skills and traits during this process. This includes effort, attitude and behavior.
- Please remind your child that the expectation in the dressing rooms is that everyone is to be treated with respect regardless of where they played last season. Any behavior other than this will be dealt with.

May 3rd 6:30-8:30 PM Komoka (Molson)
There will be two groups. (Check the website to see when you are on) Roster will be updated after this skate.
May 4th 8:15am - 10am Gemini (Strathroy)
This will be used as an intersquad game. The website will show the teams of the remaining players. There will be a roster update after this skate showing who will be playing later that day in Tillsonburg.
May 4th 4:15pm in Tillsonburg

This year will be the first season with open borders for Mount Brydges and surrounding areas. I am looking forward to seeing both new and familiar faces at tryouts this season. I expect the competition to be greater and more intense than ever! With that being said,
it makes it a stressful time for both parents and players. But please remember that these are 10 & 11 year old young men and women competing on the ice. Giving everything they have to try to earn a spot on the team. So please keep your cheering and attitudes positive!!
