NOVICE REP SSE WILD CHAMPIONS
After a solid weekend of team play and great defence the Novice Rep team walked away from the SSE Wild tournament in London with the championship.

In round robin play we saw Sarnia, Woodstock and Milton which were no match for the determined Cougars.  Mt. Brydges was undefeated thru 3 games scoring 20 goals for and 0 goals against.

In the Semi finals we saw a Sarnia Sting team that was ready for redemption from the day before but the Cougars showed no quit and won 11-0, keeping the shutout streak alive at 4 games.

Off to the finals we go, not wanting a repeat of the Blenhiem tournament (giving up the winning goal to the home team Blenhiem with 8 seconds to go).  Our Cougars were determined that this was our game.  Woodstock came out flying as they were ready for some payback, the Cougars went up 1-0 by a goal by Jude Campbell in the 1st period.  Woodstock would not quit and eventually got the equalizer with 8min to go in the game, this was definitely not the same team we played the day before.  With determination the Cougars were able to push thru and eventually get the winning goal with just over 3 min to go on a long shot by Owen Hey.

Great tournament Cougars, your parents and coaching staff are very proud of all your hard work and accomplishments so far this season.

Next up Silverstick!

Keep climbing the Mountain!
