The  Mt. Brydges Cougars Midget "B" Girls hockey team has qualified for this years provincials by beating the St.Thomas Panthers in a best 2 of 3 series.  They won 2 games straight to advance to Ottawa. Also to qualify for this series the girls competed against 6 teams  and finishing 1st in their pool with a record of 5 and 1.  The girls played some of their best hockey of the season and now have their eye one the big prize in Ottawa on April 4,5,6,7. Good Luck girls !!!!!

The Midget B girls team have won their 2nd Tournament of the year, bringing home the GOLD medal from the Kitchener Fallfest Tournament this past weekend, Nov 23,24,25. After locking up a spot in the semi's on Saturday night in a must win, beating the Norfolk HERicanes, they went on to face the #1, undefeated host,Kitchener Lady Rangers, beating them by a score of 2-1 to move on to the finals. In the finals we faced a tough familiar opponent in the St.Clair Storm, defeating them 1-0 with a late 3rd period goal. The Mt. Brydges Cougars won the gold medal in the Markham-Stouffville Starsfest Tournament Sept 21,22,23.  The girls battle back from  2 goals down with 6 minutes to go to win the GOLD scoring 3 goals in 3 minutes.  Great job by ALL the girls, not a bad way to start the season.
