Impressive showing in the Owen Sound tournament
Impressive showing in the Owen Sound tournament competing hard vs strong teams & finishing 2nd in our division out of 5 teams(tieing Bracebridge 2-2 & defeating Mississauga 2-0 who eventually met in the finals) Cross over play saw us against a big Owen Sound team with home town refs we competed hard in a close 3-2 loss. The Owen Sound tournament showed us we can compete with any major midget team.
We started the Kincardine tournament on fire outscoring our opponents 13-3 in round robin, finishing undefeated & 1st in our division. We went straight to the A finals vs an undefeated Kincardine team. Struggling at the beginning we were the better team in the 3rd losing 2-0 with them getting an empty netter. (Kincardine won their regional ss, international ss vs Mt B in double overtime & OMHA last year and only lost 4 players to this years team) The coaching staff is extemely proud of the effort shown by all the players.
