REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 15TH, 2022

The Board has reviewed the fees and registration guidelines for the 2022-23 hockey season.   Please read the following information carefully for important dates and fees.

**Please contact the Bingo Coordinator to save $50 for each bingo worked on for your 2023 - 2024 registration costs**

INCREASE IN FEES

  • *U 11 Players will not pay for the new socks as they could be atomic players which is sponsored by McDonalds and everything is provided at no cost to the association.
  • The increase in fees this year includes the coverage of gate fees to pay for game referees, timekeepers and clock personnel.  It also includes the association home and away socks that will be given to each player in September as well to cover the increase in ice rentals for the upcoming season 

·         The DEADLINE to register without late fees is June 30th, 2022Players who have not registered by this date will not be guaranteed a roster spot and will be added to a waitlist. There are caps for each division this year so please register as soon as you can to ensure a spot on a team.  If there is an interest in registering for the U 20 division, please contact registrar.

·  After June 30th the ability to be rostered will be subject to availability.

 ·   Registration fees this year include gate fees which go towards payment of game officials (ie: refs, timekeepers etc).  These payments came directly from the gate fees that we are no longer able to accept.

TRYOUT FEES (Competitive Teams Only):

·         $100 fee payable at registration or $150 at time of tryouts, if not paid at time of registration.

·         No player will be allowed on the ice for a competitive try-out unless the tryout fee has been paid.

·         Refundable ONLY if written request received before August 25th, 2022
      

COMPETITIVE FEE:

 An additional fee will be charged to those who make a competitive team (ie: Rep or AE).

·         $200 fee for all individuals who make a competitive team.

·         This fee will be collected by the Team Manager and is due by October 15, 2022.

FUNDRAISING FEE:

·         The fundraiser fee will be a $100 and is being collected at the time of registration. The Board is still considering which events will be included.  Credits will still be applied at checkout for those registering 3 or more players (2 charges maximum per family).

VOLUNTEER FEE:

·         The volunteer fee is a mandatory $250 per family.

·         A post-dated cheque (April 1, 2021), will be collected at the first Tryout/Sorting skate. Players will receive their Pinnies upon providing the Cheque! No player will be allowed on the ice until volunteer fee has been collected!!

·         Five (5) hours of volunteer time is to be completed by any member(s) of the family to have your cheque returned or destroyed.

PAYMENT:

·         Payment can be made directly on the registration website.

·         Payments must be made by credit card or contact registrar directly.

 

REFUNDS:

Please read the following refund policy carefully. All refunds are subject to an administration fee.

·         FULL refunds will be provided if requested in writing to the Registrar prior to August 31, 2022.

·         A refund of 50% will be provided if requested in writing to the Registrar after August 31, 2022 but before September 30, 2022.

·         After September 30, 2022, no refunds will be provided.

.   Any U18 player signed to a Junior A,B,C team will be fully reimbursed. 

 *EXCEPTIONS FOR REGISTRANTS IN U5, U7 DIVISIONS

*Registrants that withdraw by October 15th will be given a refund of their registration minus $50.00 and an administration fee.

*Refunds of 50% of registration, minus administration fee will be given to registrants that withdrawal their registration between October 16th    and October 30th. No refunds after October 30th. 

******COVID-19******

Should COVID-19 still have an impact on the upcoming hockey season we will take the advice from the Municipality and or Hockey Canada regarding the up coming season. If for some reason the season is canceled, a full refund will be issued. If the season is shortened the M.B.D.A.A. will re-evaluate the registration fees at that time.            

NEW TO ASSOCIATION:

·         Must provide a copy of player’s birth certificate to Registrar prior to player’s first scheduled on ice skate.

PERMISSION TO SKATE:

·         Will be issued by the President or Vice-President (or designate) upon written request and only after the player has registered with MBDAA

Under 5 PROGRAM:
For players interested in the Under 5 program please be aware that this program is an Introduction to Hockey Program. The Under 5 program is not a Learn to Skate program, and all registrants should at a minimum be able to stand on skates on the ice without assistance. Full hockey gear is required, including mouth and neck guards.
