Congratulations
to the Mount Brydges Atom Red team for winning the Port Stanley
"Sleep-In" Tournament over the weekend. The kids played amazing!
They went undefeated in the round robin winning:
4 - 1 against the South Kent Lightning
4 - 2 against the Lambeth Lancers 1
6 - 2 against the Ayr Flames
The semi-finals the played Strathroy, winning 7 - 1 then, 20 minutes later the team played against the winner of the "A" pool - the Oakridge Aeros, pool "A's undefeated team.
It was a back-and-forth game, at the end of regulation time, the game was tied at 3 goals each and overtime was needed. With the kids tired from playing 3 games in the same day, the Atom Red team scored with 1 minute left in overtime winning the tournament 4 - 3!
Congratulations to all the players for their hard work and believing in the T.E.A.M. - "Together Everyone Accomplishes More" philosophy!
