Mt Brydges Minor Hockey Saddened by the Passing of Riley O’Brien
Submitted By Karen Decker on Monday, July 27, 2015
The thoughts and prayers of the entire Mt Brydges & District Athletic Association are being sent out to the family and friends of Riley O’Brien.  We were saddened to hear the news over this past weekend of the sudden passing of Riley as a result of a car accident.  Riley was a long-time Mt Brydges Cougar and played on many of our teams over the years.  We know that he will be greatly missed by his many former teammates and coaches.

The evidence of his impact on our Association and his friends was heard in the words in an email received by a former teammate;

“Today we lost one of our bright stars to a sad accident. Riley was an awesome hockey player. You could always count on him to have your back on and off the ice. He was a friend to everyone no matter who you were. He would give you the shirt off his back to help you ... Riley we will all miss you on and off the ice.”
