Novice Blue Wins Big in Windsor!
Once in a while, out of the blue, you will witness something that you wows you and you just can't explain it.  Well, that happened this weekend for the Novice Cougars Blue squad as they travelled to Windsor for the Families First Hockey Tournament!!!!

Novice Blue decided to dedicate the tournament to Katie Amos, who is out for the rest of the season after surgery. Novice Blue started strong and never looked back outscoring opponents 26-5 in the round robin.  In in the semi final at 6pm on Sunday evening Blue faced Norwich.  Norwich was tough as they had outscored their opponents by about the same margin. But then the awakening occurred. Our Cougars went absolutely nuts and scored 7 unanswered goals. The fans were awestruck. So that set Blue up for the final game at 8:30pm on Sunday evening against the Strathroy Rockets. The kids were exhausted but they had to scoop up enough energy to go out and play the game of their lives.
The Cougars jumped out to a 4-0 lead early, and after a couple of goals by the Rockets that put a little bit of a scare into Blue, they were able to skate away with a 6-2 victory and the gold medal.  It was the capper to an amazing day and amazing weekend!
CONGRATULATIONS COUGARS BLUE!!!!
