MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR COUGAR FAMILIES
Twas the night before Christmas .......
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the rink
Not a player around, so why does it stink??
The sticks were all stacked by the locker room with care,
All prepped for our opponents who soon would be there;
Young players all home and into their beds
While visions of Silver Sticks dance in their heads
When out by the zamboni there arose a loud noise
There were Bantams & Midgets and all sorts of boys
They thought they saw Santa on top of our rink
New sticks & new bags, my god they're all pink !!
The lights shining bright on the fresh sheet of ice,
Gave way to a scene that was really quite nice,
When, what to his sleep-blurried eyes should appear,
A bunch of Cougars’ players, dressed up in their gear,
With speedy young players, so lively and quick,
Determined to score, and to impress Old St Nick
Santa called to his forwards, his goalie & D
Go home to your beds or there will be nothing under your tree
The players all rushed home to beat Santa and his deer
To get in their beds or no gifts they will fear
He went up in his sleigh & to the team blew the whistle
Its late in the 3rd guys and went off like a missile
It was finally quiet on this Chritmas night
With parents relaxing and no hockey fights
Only 3 more tournies they said with some joy
Merry Christmas to all, each girl and each boy !!
