Submitted By F Hetherington on Saturday, December 8, 2012
Champions Again!!!!
Mount Brydges Cougars PeeWee Gold go 2 for 2 in 2012 tournament play sending USA Teams "Shopping" for answers during Port Huron Thanksgiving Tournament.
An Amazing performance;  overcoming adversity in every game!

These Cougars for the 2nd Tourney in a row proved what Champions look like as they took home the coveted "Port Huron.....Devon Dhoine Bobble Head Trophy". ;-)
They believed in themselves, they believed in each other, they were determined not to be outworked..... and most importantly they dreamed BIG !!!
Round robin victories of 3-1, 1-0, and 5-3 sent the Cougars to the Semis on Saturday afternoon where they spanked the Macomb Cowboys and their Horses with a 3-0 victory!!
Championsip Sunday morning began with a player  Progsnostication of....."don't worry Mom, OUR team knows how to WIN"!! Truer words were never spoken as GOLD stepped onto the aptly named "Canada" ice surface at Glacier Point Arena and overcame adversity, killing penality after penalty completing a 100% tournament penalty kill percentage..(plus not to mention adding 4 shorthanded tournament Goals as well). Championship Final Score MB Cougars 6, Port Huron Flags 0
The Cougars outscored their opponents 18 - 4 this weekend while supporting the stellar netminding of Jacob Campbell with 3 shutouts!! I personally want to thank all the players and families for such an incredible weekend. Special thanks to John Maddock for organizing the event...plus all the coaching staff and especially Pete Holt ( Don Cherry ) for stepping up to Head Coach the team in Coach Fraser's absence.
