Major Midgets are Champions in Aylmer!
The Major Midgets traveled to Aylmer Nov 16th-18th. They were looking forward to a rematch with Ingersoll who spanked the Cougars in the previous Fall Classic Tournament. In the first game of this tournament, the Cougars played Ingersoll and took them more seriously, kept it close but came out with a 2-1 loss. The Midgets were just getting warmed up and then went on to play almost perfect hockey, with
the Cougars goalie completely shutting down the opposition. The boys popped in 15 goals to the opponents 3 before clawing their way into another final. In the championship game, our boys were looking for revenge against Ingersoll once again. Coach Garner had to contain a hungry yet disciplined Cougars team. The coaching staff had them ready and the Cougars battled to a 3-1 win with pride and grit. Another great team effort and result.
