Ice Calendar dates added...

The first four weeks of our 2012-13 hockey season are now posted!

A note about the calendar:







CHECKING CLINIC (on ice and in-class)
The Checking Clinic (Sept 4th) is MANDATORY for:
  • all players expecting to play PeeWee boys hockey;
  • all players new to the MBDAA who will be playing boys hockey with first time body contact (i.e. PeeWee and above);
  • All Atom level players who expect to be "AP'd" to a competitive PeeWee Team
  • A Peewee aged player will NOT be allowed to step on the ice without taking the clinic !!


How to read the calendar:


Tryouts
Competitive ("Rep") tryouts begin first followed by Local League Evaluations. For any player who has registered for a competitive tryout all time slots for competitive teams are identified as "Rep" in the header of the calendar listing (e.g. Novice Rep, Bantam Rep, etc) followed by identification of the time (e.g. Intrasquad, etc.). If you have not registered for a tryout you attend appropriate Local League slots and All Skates. 

All Skates  Anything marked as "All Skate" on the calendar is for every player in that particular level (i.e. players trying out and those signed up as non-tryout players) regardless of how it is classified (as "Rep" or by team colour) on the calendar.

Local League Evaluations LL Evaluations are currently entered in the calendar as non-Rep timeslots using a team colour identification in the header until LL teams are set (e.g. Tyke Blue, Atom Red, Midget Blue, etc.) so for players not trying out for a competitive team, or who are cut from a competitive team, the initial practice and evaluation times will be identified by a team colour and will include a description of the time slot (e.g. Novice Blue - Novice Local League Eval #1, etc.) so for the purposes of reading the calendar everyone in a Local League category (Tyke, Novice, Atom, etc) is considered to be on the same team (i.e. Tyke Blue) until the LL teams are set.
