Last weekend the U11A and U12A teams each took some time to give back to our communities.
The U12A team sponsored a large family with 7 children in it. The team broke off into smaller teams collecting items that were on each of the wish lists. The players were encouraged to donate their own money to the cause, pick out the items and then donate those items to the children in need.
The Business Cares Food Drive recognizes that taking care of business means taking care of people. This past weekend alongside their Platinum sponsor SBM, the U11 A Cougars took part in the Business Cares food drive grocery store weekend.
It was a great opportunity for the team to come together and support those in need in our local community.
The London food bank has seen a 43% increase in demand compared to this time last year. That equates to approximately 600 families a month or 14,000 individuals. In addition, the food drive helps to support over 35 social agencies and programs around London.
