Welcome to the 2013 Cougar Atom AE / MD Challenge
Welcome all participants and families to the 2013 Mt Brydges Cougars Atom AE / MD Challenge Tournament

Tri-Township Arena in Mt Brydges (22647 Adelaide Rd, Mount Brydges, ON, N0L1W0) & the Komoka Wellness and Recreation Centre (1 Tunks Ln. Komoka, ON N0L1R0)

Tournament Seeding Format and Rules:    
ALL games will be 10-10-12 min stop time periods.

12 points earned max per game
- 2 points for each period won
- 1 point for tied period
- 3 point for winning game, 1pt each for tieing game
- 1 point bonus for Shutout
- 1 point bonus for penalty free game
- 1 point per game bonus to team that scores first during the game


• Negative 1 point for team not taking ice within 5 minutes of ice surface being ready to start game.
Tournament convenor will come to dressing room door of both teams to start 5 minute grace period
• Game switches to run time in 3rd period anytime if score differential is 4 or higher.
• Any game can start a maximum of 15 minutes early. Please Use ice when ready.
• No overtime to be played in Round Robin games 1 -9, 
• Consolation and Championship games are 5 minute sudden victory OT, at the end of each minute a buzzer will go if no goal has been scored and 1 player will be removed from the ice from each time, ie: 5 on 5, 4 on 4, 3 on 3, etc,  the ensuing face off will take place at centre ice. If still tied then we do a 3 person penalty shot shootout.
• If still tied, then followed by single new shooters from each team until tie is broken. No shooter can take a 2nd shot until all players(except for goalies) on game sheet have shot

After  Round Robin play, the Seeding of teams is determined by the following tiebreakers
(among teams tied)
1 Points acquired during Head to Head play
2 Total wins
3 Goals For divided by (Goals For plus Goals Against). …team with highest percentage wins
4 Team with Least total Penalty Minutes
5 Team taking Least Amount of Time to Score first goal in tournament
6 Team playing Most Amount of Time before giving up first goal of tournament
7 Coin Flip
