Each team traded 1 more goal in the 2nd period as Colton Cordeiro scored with the assists going to Craig Kopal and Soreyn Snake. We seemed to be getting sloppy in our zone and St Marys was winning the shots on net in this contest by a considerable margin by the end of the 2nd, fortunately the game was tied at two goals each going into the 3rd.
The game opened up a bit in the 3rd with 5 more goals scored, St Mary's was first to score at 12:19 then Colton Cordeiro responded at 9:57 to score his 2nd of the game, once again the assists went to Graig Kopal and Soreyn Snake. St Mary's kept working hard and capitalized 23 seconds later at 9:34. They weren't finished yet as they took a two goal lead at 8:03 with a power play goal. A few minutes later, Carson Kechego found some room high in the slot and unleashed a strong slap shot that beat the goalie clean and narrowed the gap to 1 with 4:57 left on the clock. Blaine Powless gets the credit for Carson's second goal as well. Unfortunately we could not manage to tie it up and the game would end with a final score of 5-4 St Mary's.
