Silver Stick Tournament this Weekend!
Hello Team Blue.
We have an exciting weekend ahead
with an awesome bunch of kids and families. Silver Stick is a unique
tournament that I hope we can make a memorable experience for the kids.
I know that we have an early game on Friday November 30 at 8 am so we will need to be at the rink in Forest at 7:15 am. We are the visitors in this first game so will need the dark uniform jerseys.
For Saturdays Games I would like the kids to wear a shirt and tie to this game to make it special for them. (no shirt and tie for Friday's game as it is early and too much going on that time of day). The coaches will be also wearing ties and dress shirts. Kind of an NHL feel for our team of inspiring professionals.
On Saturday we in Thedford at 12:00. So be at the rink at 11 am in case the tournament schedule is ahead of schedule. We are the home team for this game. So we will be wearing our white jerseys.
After the Game we are going to a team lunch at Skeeter’s in Forest at 1:30 pm. This should give us enough time to have lunch and some fun. Thanks to Alecia for setting this up for our team!
We play again on Saturday at 4:00 pm back in Thedford. Be back at the rink for around 3 pm. We will be home again so our white jerseys will be used. That is dependent on how fast our lunch is.
After that we will see how we are seeded in our 4 team pool. Where we finish in this pool determines our next games etc.
The coaches are all looking forward to this special weekend. I know the kids have been working hard and bonding as a team. It truly has been fun watching them learn, improve and play together.
