Strathroy Olympics
Last weekend saw the Peewee AE Cougars participate in the Strathroy Olympics.

After a nail-biting finish to their first game, a 5-4 overtime victory Thursday night against their Highway 81 rivals the Strathroy Rockets, the boys cruised through their next 2 games against the Petrolia Oilers and the Niagara Wolves.  This set up a Saturday afternoon battle of the undefeated with the Caledonia Thunder. The boys worked hard and played a great game but came up on the short side of a 3-1 score against a very physical Caledonia team.  The loss meant our Cougars would play in the Bronze Medal Game against the Niagara Wolves Sunday morning.  The boys played another great game dispatching the Wolves 6-1.  A great weekend boys, the coaches' are proud of the sportsmanship as well as the grit and determination you showed all weekend.  There is lots of hockey to be played in the next 2 weeks so remember: All out, Every game, Every shift!!!
