Team Meeting / Coach & Parent Meeting
Dear Team
Welcome to the 2016-17 season!  I am your coach, Scott McKillop.  Our first game is away at North Middlesex.  Our first team practice is this Sunday night.   And oddly, our team photo is tomorrow.  I would like to spend just a few minutes talking to the team in the dressing room before you hit the ice on Sunday.

Then I would like the parent(s) to stay behind for the coach / parent meeting.
In the meantime, there is lots to think about:
Tournaments - Yes/No? Local/Away? How many? I know part time jobs and school are taking priority now.
For the senior players (1999); think about what you want to make this season the most memorable.
For the junior players (2000, 2001); think where you are this season, and where you see yourself next season.  Let's take advantage of our '99's to accelerate our development.

My philosophy for practice is largely centered around scrimmaging.  There will be drills where appropriate based on  observations during the games.  But having fun is equally important as building on our skill development.

We will discuss practice jerseys vs pinneys.  I hope each each player has acquired over the years at least one plain white jersey and one plain black jersey (not red, green, yellow, lt.blue, grey) for scrimmaging.

Please purchase and maintain your own waterbottle.  That's a minimum expectation.

Help me get to know each of you a little faster: Email me the following information asap:
-Your name and your parents(guardian) names.
-Parent's preferred email for team communications.
-Position on the ice.
-Last year's team (Bantam, midget, LL, AE, Rep).
-Any parent who believes that they can participate in any capacity on the team's behalf (asst coach, trainer, time keeper, manager, etc.)
-Anything else personally important to you, that will help make the season the most positive.

I was very impressed with our roster during the balancing game against Blue.  I am looking forward to a successful year.

Scott
