September Busy and housecleaning items
Hi everyone so I know other organizations are already on the ice....rest assured we will have a busy September and Fall....enjoy your summer while it lasts.
Here are some items you should know about.
We have scheduled an exhibition game vs Lambeth during our 15th Ice Time, and are going to Lambeth to exhibition on the 19th. I'm just waiting for the ice scheduler to put them up on the site.
Registration - any stragglers with registration items need to get that sorted out with Patti Griffiths - her contact information is under Executive tab as Girls Convener.
Tournaments etc...We are committed to four tournaments and with no-one stepping up as manager (still position open) I will be collecting $330 from all families and will be sending tournament Checks in once funds are available. (Obviously - St Thomas in September is paramount) So I would like see these Checks by our first exhibition game on the 15th of Sept. We are playing Mississauga, West Oxford and Stoney Creek - Guaranteed 4 games. You can also e-transfer me. I am about to block off some rooms for Ancaster.
Kevin Banks is also working to source Cougar Pant Shells, socks and sweaters. Our expectation is that girls will wear cougars sweaters and some black athletic pants to games for warm-ups etc...looking the part starts when you arrive at the rink. Other Panthers swag is at your own choice, sounds like the organization is in the middle of switching clothing suppliers so keep an eye on the site for more on that.
Braedan Doyle has joined our staff, after playing as long as our girls and teaching at Hockey Opportunities Camp near North Bay in summers and attending University of Guelph for a few years, he is back in town this year and I've talked him into helping. Braedan helped out with some of the tryouts.
Think I've got it covered...main thing is get ready for September, check our schedule for tournaments - make sure you make yourself available...players text me at 519-671-8282 if you are going to miss anything. If I don't get 24hours notice, your may find your self sitting a few shifts next game, or having the team skating a-lot on your behalf at practice.
