Hello families of the Atom Red hockey team,
As our season progresses, so does each of our player’s skill level and passion for the game.
This week, we seen our Player of the Week
dancing, singing and bottle flipping with his teammates in the change rooms and arenas. Memories are being created at every game and at every practice. Our Player of the Week knows that hockey is not about wins of losses, these are quickly forgotten. Hockey is about having fun and making friendships and, our Player of the Week knows how to have fun!
Our Player of the Week played amazing in all our games, giving it everything he possibly could to ensure the puck stayed out of our end and preventing goals. We witnessed our Player of the Week win countless battles against the opposing teams best players, frustrating the leagues best offensive powers. With his amazing defensive plays nobody expects that he occasionally he will pinch-in and quickly become an offensive threat.
Because our Player of the Week is doing everything he can to help-out our team he lets his passion for the game take over and occasionally gets a 2 minute rest. Like a battery recharging, after his break he is coming on the ice refreshed and ready to continue his stellar play thwarting any chance the opposing team has. This break allows our Player of the Week to reflect and continue to improve his amazing game!
When the opposition is on attack, this is when we see our Pillar of Defensive Strength and Skill play his best. They know that it will be tough to get the puck around our Player of the Week because, he proves time and time again how awesome he is on defense and how frustrating it is to play against him. The opposing team quickly realises that Our Player of the Week has speed, skill and determination to keep the puck out of our end!
