Here are some words from Coach Sean:
We had this marked on our calendars since July. For a few players it would be
their last Silver Stick.
The boys came ready to play. A 3-0 shutout vs Petrolia got us started.
A little bump in the road saw us lose 1-0 vs Lambton Shores. We got our wake up call.
After a good night's rest. We had a very strong game vs Goderich.
With a 4-2 win we were on to the Semi finals. Lambton Shores were a worthy opponent
and the Cougars battled to a 4-3 win.
Off to the finals where Goderich was waiting for us. We came out flying.
Jumped out to a 3-0 lead which we took into the third. The Sailors dug deep
and got 2 back before we got our fourth. Goderich fought back to within 1.
However that's as close as they would get.
We are off to International Silver Stick in early January.
