Player of the Week

Hello Parents of the Atom Blue Hockey Team,

As the season is winding down, our kids still continue to follow the 4 guiding principles we discussed at our first practice:

4. communicate with each other
3. pass the puck
2. work hard
1. the most important guiding principle: HAVE FUN!!

Our Player of the Week exemplifies all of these principles. He call for passes from his teammates, he almost always passes the puck, works hard every shift and is always having fun with his hockey buddies.

Before the games and practices, he is all smiles. During the games and practices, smiles. After the games and practices, win or lose, he's still smiling!

Quite often he positions himself high on the ice to allow a quick break-out and takes the puck-up along the boards. Our Player of the Week looks over his shoulder and will almost always pass, allowing his teammates to score. He knows that a nice pass is as important as a nice goal. When he is digging the puck out of the corners, he does his best to position himself between the opposition and the puck. Our Player of the Week is fearless and plays like a person 3 times his size!!

Our Player of the Week has the heart of a lion, eyes of an eagle, wise as an owl and the patience of a jungle cat. When the puck is in the corners and the opportunity presents itself, like a hungry cheetah eyeing a gazelle, our Player of the Week attacks the puck and does not stop until he it!

Our Player of the Week Cougar Cup, Certificate and Puck goes to:

#7 Zac Fisher

Great work all season long Zac.

Keep on working hard and being an awesome teammate!

Coach Dave
