Hello Parents and Players of the Atom Blue Hockey Team,
Welcome to our weekly write-up, acknowledging the hard
work of one of our players.
This week we had a player who attended our practice
on Monday and made all 3 of our tournament games. He scored 4 times in our tournament and dangled some high-light reel
goals. He demonstrated to his teammates the work ethic the coaches expect from
the all the players on the team.
Our Player of the Week is leading our team in 2 categories
they are:
41 regular season points :)
and penalties – 13 :(
Both of these categories can be easily explained.
He leads the team in regular season points :) because of his hard work at his practices, the gritty effort he displays in the corners as well as the extra time he has put in over the years at Gazdigs Power Skating, TPH Hockey, UWO Hockey School and Turcotte Stick Handling Clinics.
He leads in penalty minutes....
When you are as talented as our Player of the Week, you constantly have to deal with being double teamed by the opposition’s best players, occasionally resulting in our Player of the Week misdirecting his incredible talent. Time and time again, our Player of the Week finishes his minor penalty fully rested and ready to show the opposition what happens when you “Poke the Bear.”
