Hello Atom Blue Parents and Players,
What a great week of hockey! Our "away" tournament in Thorold (Champs!), exhibition game against St Marys (Win) and a practice! The kids were exhausted but still continued their hard work at practice on Sunday.
Our Player of the Week attended all games and practices. He continues to contribute to the overall success of our hockey team by scoring goals, getting assists, and
dropping back to allow our defense to go "end-to-end". When we are missing players, the coaches will ask him to play different positions, he always accepts the challenge, and plays awesome!!
Our Player of the Week is one of the biggest and strongest players on our team. You can see the opposition trembling in their skates when they look-up and see "Big E" in front of them. When he plays wing and goes into the corners, you can see the fear in their eyes. The tournament photographer was able to capture this moment, with a picture during one of our tournament games, showing "Big E" getting the puck from Thorold's top scorer.
The coaching staff is enjoying watching our Player of the Week continually improve his stick handling and skating abilities. He has learned many different positions well and knows where to be in order to be most effective. He continually works hard to improve his game...because he's got game! He brings a smile into the change room and occasionally will lay-down an amazing rap that his teammates love.
