Semi Formal Tie
Good Morning,
We went in Fridays battle of Mount Brydges eight players short as the gents were off to a semi formal dance. This didn't slow our tempo down to start the game as we poured on the pressure early and often. Both goalies stood tall in the first and no goals were scored. Mount Brydges Blue shocked us with a goal early on in the second to take a one goal lead. Not to be outdone Spencer Goos put Gold on the board with a great assist from our captain Jesse.
Blue struck back midway through the second on one Callum would like to have back. Assistant captain Tyler Czencz would even the score shortly after and we were 2-2 heading into the third. We poured on the pressure in the third as we peppered shots on the Blue goaltender. Callum was equally as stout stopping everything his way en route to a 2-2 tie. We gain most of our roster back tonight and were able to keep the undefeated record alive as we head into Alvinston. We'll need all hands on deck as this squad was able to top Point Edward just a week ago. Let's show the division who the true powerhouse is here and put a win on Alvinston in their barn. I've confirmed booking on our third tournament for the year as we'll be heading into Barrie in March for a fun year end over nighter. More details will follow in an e-mail this weekend. Let's take it to them tonight and make our presence felt with a loud crowd again.
