Another great exhibition game
Hello Novice Gold Parents and Players,
Today, we watched our kids play with intensity, discipline, sportsmanship and still have loads of fun! On the offensive end of the bench, we had many kids who typically play wing have a chance on center.
Our centers rotated through various forward positions to let others take a face-off. It was AWESOME!!! One of our forwards asked part-way through the game to be moved to defense, no problem with this request, this allowed Jase to play a few shifts with his brother Cooper. It was great to see the brothers play together. Sportsmanship was displayed through-out the game, it was classic when I seen some of our players "pound-it" with kids from the other team. Defense was extremely solid, playing smart hockey and moving the puck out of our end as quickly as possible. They were playing some of the best hockey of the season!
Although we only have two exhibition games left in our season, the sportsmanship and comradery on the bench displayed by these kids has been fantastic to watch and be part of. I look forward to our game on Saturday against Ilderton Blue in Komoka and our last game of the season on Monday against Lambton Shores Red. See you all then! Coach Dave.
