Player of the Week
Hello Novice Gold Parents and Players,
These last 2 weeks, we had a player volunteer to play a position he had never played before, during the most important time of the season - playoffs!! He had 1 practice before stepping "between the pipes" and he did his best.
He was square to the shooter
and kept his stick on the ice at all times. He listened to his coaches on the bench and did the best he could. Although we lost our playoff game, he still volunteered to have people shoot pucks at him for an exhibition game. This is where we seen him stand on his head and stop shot after shot. He was square to the shooter every time, used his blocker to make a few key saves and froze the puck whenever he could for his first official win as goalie!
