Player of the Week
Hello Novice Gold Parents and Players,
After an intense weekend of tournament hockey, I observed a group of hockey players who really played their best hockey of the season - as a team! I watched players who were exhausted but still found the intestinal fortitude to carry on and play the game we love to play and watch.
We had a player who
took a hard slash on the wrist in the first game, come to the bench and decide to get the other team where it hurts - ON THE SCORE SHEET !!!!!!
He went out and played the best game I have seen him play to date. He worked through the pain, skated like the wind, made awesome passing plays and buried the puck. In total, he got 7 points in the first game of the tournament !! He consistently showed this type of passing, scoring and encouragement through-out the entire tournament. On the bench, he was constantly encouraging his team mates to work hard, pass and shoot.
