Time to get PUMPED UP BOYS!!!!!!
Game 3 of the OMHA playoff series on Monday night proved that our boys have just what we need to take it all the way! With their backs against the wall and down 2 games to none, they certainly came out flying and playing hard every shift.
With the 1st period ending scoreless it was the Strathroy Rockets who broke open the scoring in the 2nd period. With a hard shot and a bouncing puck, it would end up in the net. That didn't get our Cougars (or the fans) down. The boys would answer that with a goal by Liam Reeves to tie the game up. Minutes later and a scuffle in front on the net another cougars goal by Keiran Collins would put them back on top. Devin Highfield would go on to score the 3rd cougars goal in the final period. Just when the fans thought the cougars had it in the bag, a couple of penalties would put us down to a 5 on 3. However, nothing was going to stop those cougars! They killed off both penalties and Brandon Davidson would go on to score the final goal in the rockets empty net. Jaryd Davidson faced a number of shots and kept the cougars in the entire game. Great game played by all the boys and great spirit and noise by all the fans! Rest up today boys as we travel to Strathroy for game 4 of the OMHA playoffs! Stay tuned for the next report!
