Atom Red is on FIRE!
It's surprising that there is any ice left in the rinks where Atom Red has played because they are on FIRE!
Another great week of hockey for the red hot team. They blew into Parkhill on Wednesday night and stormed out with a 2-1 win. Next up was the tough South Huron team on Thursday night and they came out a 2-2 tie. Good for a point to keep them right up top of the standings.
A practice on Friday night warmed them up for the only meeting of the season vs. Lucan Irish on Saturday morning. I think Red is better in the mornings...because they skated hard and stood strong in front of Spencer for another shutout - 4-0! Red had a speedy start to the game and a quick goal 16 seconds in by big #17! Later that period a wicked shot by Aidan for his first GOAL OF THE YEAR!!! The second period Red netted another - a great wrister that the netminder didn't even see by Michael! Mitchell added to his points for the day in the 3rd period with a thundering shot from outside the zone that caught everyone off guard! ;) We'd be amiss not to mention Adam who had 3 assists on the day and Caden who played strong defensive game in an unfamiliar position.
